PARTNERS

The Flat Iron Trust is currently supporting the following charitable organisations

THE FELIX PROJECT

The Felix Project rescues good, surplus food from the food industry (from supermarkets and wholesalers to farms and restaurants) and redistributes it to over 1,200 community organisations in London alone! This could be food banks, homeless shelters, and primary schools; the food is then distributed to the communities that need support the most. In 2025, over 44 million meals were redistributed in the capital.

We have a long standing relationship with the Felix Project which started in 2019 and was strengthened during the Pandemic. We are delighted to be able to partner again with the Felix Project at a time when they are extending their reach nationwide thanks to their merger with FareShare. With a nationwide prescence, they will redistribute food to over 8,000 community organisations across the UK supporting 1.5 million people every year.

Grassroots Farming

GRASSROOTS FARMING

Founded by Alastair Trickett and a few other like-minded farmers, Grassroots Farming is about implementing on-farm improvements that deliver a net positive impact on the environment. Grassroots have built a set of clearly defined and measurable standards that take a holistic approach and focus on restoring ecosystems, mimicking natural grazing patterns, improving soil health, and increasing carbon capture. They aim to achieve this through investing in natural capital and recruiting as many farmers as possible to the scheme.

We are delighted to support Grassroots Farming and we hope that over the coming years we can help UK farmers, one by one transition to this way of managing their cattle and their land to deliver better beef and a positive environmental impact.

TEAM CHARITY

Every year, the Flat Iron Trust asks our restaurant teams to select a charity they would like the Trust to donate to. The criteria is simple – the charity needs to operate in the health sector, in an area that significantly impacts communities in the UK and our own teams.

The process for selecting this year’s Team Charity is currently under way; we will announce the selected partnership in Spring 2026.
