The Flat Iron Trust is built on a simple but powerful idea.
Every guest who dines at Flat Iron is given the option to add 10p to their bill as a donation to the Flat Iron Trust.
This donation is then matched by Flat Iron and all of the proceeds go to the Flat Iron Trust,
which supports a range of health and environmental charitable causes.
We believe that a small change can make a huge difference.
Simplicity
Each donation made by guests is matched by an equivalent donation from Flat Iron. Over time this builds up, raising a significant amount of money for charitable causes. The suggested donation amount of 10p is intentionally small so as to be barely noticeable. Most importantly, it is voluntary and easily removed from the guest’s bill.
Discretion
The Flat Iron Trust is discreet. The Flat Iron Trust does not exist to promote the Flat Iron business. It was created in order to do something positive because doing good is, quite simply, a great thing to do. It has been a conscious decision not to publicise its work widely, with PR pieces or glossy photography, because that isn’t what it’s about.

As the Flat Iron Trust makes donations on behalf of guests and the Flat Iron team, the trustees take great care in selecting the charities we support.
